At Fannteer, our principles are do the right thing and do the right thing right every time. We also believe that this is the way to be a sustainable organization. Our corporate sustainability lies in the following aspects.
Ethical
- Employee’s code of conduct; Fannteer has strict regulations on bribery, personnel information privacy, and company confidential leaks.
- Reporting misconducts is highly encouraged. The company also keeps reports confidential and maintains reporting channel smooth and easy.
Human rights and social justice
- Child labor, labor abuse, and vicious overtimes are extremely prohibited within the company.
- Our operation follows the authority regulations and we even apply higher level standard than the official regulations.
- Work-life balance is highly emphasized. Through continues improvement program and computer integrated manufacturing system, we reduce the difficulties and physical strength level of jobs in production.
- Diversity: With employees come from different national origins and demographics, Fannteer has been a multi-culture organization for decades. Evidences show that diversified workplace is one of the key factor to a creative organization. Through the good idea program and other group activities, Fannteer encourages employees to speak up and express their talents. This not only improves the cultural awareness but increases the productivity. In addition, Fannteer is therefore, responsible for providing a workplace with equal opportunity, free from discrimination, racism ,and harrasment.
- Gender equality: All genders including he, she and they, shall have the same rights within the company.
- Inclusion: Employees spend most of the time at work. Feeling safe and respected is crucial for a successful organization. Fannteer emphasizes on workplace inclusion. Stakeholder engagement, Training and Education
- In Fannteer, we believe education is the foundation of sustainability. 5S Methodology is our belief, not only in production sites but also in office operations. Every employee will be receiving a 5S Methodology training course on the first day of work. 5S review Twice per year for each employee and monthly department 5S evaluation are on the company calendar.
- Good idea program with rewards and incentives have been run in the organization. Members of the company are encouraged to give ideas and suggestions in areas such as safety, quality, efficiency, environment friendly, and energy saving.
- Advanced education and training courses held by institutes are encouraged.
- Group book study and case study are regular and popular.
- Fannteer values our suppliers very much that we would share our experience in quality control and dummy system to help mutual growth and improvement.
- Fannteer takes the responsibility on public service. The company’s presence can be seen in many aspects in local community supports including involvements in environmental protection, infrastructure, safety, etc.
- Safety: Employees’ safety is the top priority of the company. The goal is zero injuries. By performing job site audits regularly from the certified safety officers, Fannteer continues to maintain zero life changing injuries.
Natural resource extractions and wastes
- Recycle: We set KPI on waste management to reduce to amount trash we generate.
- By using social media, other industrial waste such as packaging materials, shipping pallets, and other plastics can be recycled to special users.
- Solar power plants: We have built solar power plants on each of our production facilities in Taoyuan, Taiwan and Shanghai, China. Overall, 15-20% of our power supply are from the Sun.
- Water recycles: In Shanghai, we built a water recycle system to re-use the waste water from cleaning and tumbling parts process to flush toilets. This could reduce up to 20% of the daily water usage.
- Paperless: through our CIM system (computer integrated manufacturing), we have achieved paperless in our entire production process.
Short- and long-term thinking / thinking ahead
- Fannteer strives to bring new technology into production and inspection to minimize labor and maintenance costs. The AI-powered inspection equipment eliminates measurement errors while achieving cost reduction. The company’s commitment in process standardization, parameter optimization, and automation has created a better environment for corporate sustainability.
- Opening two production sites in Taiwan: Taiwan productions were established three years before the China trade war and the covid-19 pandemic. This plan has not only successfully reduced the impacts of the sever global incidents but also brings new opportunities to the company.
Increasing the number of women board members
- Fannteer is a woman owned company. We are devoted to create woman friendly working environment.
- The male to female ratio in our management system is 4:6. We do believe that with women in control, we are more likely to reduce the impact on environment and improve energy efficiency.
